Five Days National Level Faculty Development Programme (Online Mode) on Effective Teaching-Learning and Evaluation; Strategies/Tools in Higher Education was conducted successfully by Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), St. Xavier College Jalukie under the guidance of Dr. Fr. Francis S Cheerangal (Principal of the College) from 1st to 5th July 2024.
The programme featured eminent Resource Persons:Dr. Sangeeta Angom (Associate Prof., Dept. of Higher Education & Professional Education, National Institute of Educational Planning & Administration (Deemed to be University under Ministry of Education, Govt. of India), New Delhi), Prof. Brinda Bazeley Kharbirymbai (Head, Department of Education,North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) – Shillong, Meghalaya), Alok John (Dean, National, International Collaborations and Consultancy Services (NICCS), Patna Women’s College, Bihar), Dr. Pradeep Kumar Choudhury (Asst. Prof. of Economics, Zakir Husain Centre for Educational Studies, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi), and Senior Prof. Zokaitluangi (Head, Dept of Clinical Psychology, Mizoram University).
They provided valuable insights on their respective topics: Student Centric Methods in Higher Education, Use of ICT Tools in Higher Education, Effective Communication Skills for Teachers in Higher Education, Evaluation/Assessment in Higher Education, and Mentoring and Counseling in Higher Education.
103 learned Principals/Teachers/Administrators/scholars from colleges and Universities of various states of India – Nagaland, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Kerala actively participated in the event.
The Event, while empowering the participants with new information and findings, renewed their spirit to perform their academic exercises with greater zeal.
